Summary

Bitwright is a calculation aid sold under a single-user licence. It is provided as is, without warranty. Verify any result independently before using it in production hardware or safety-related work.

Licence

Purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application. The application and its source code, documentation, design, and assets remain the property of the copyright holder. No permission is granted to copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, sell, or create derivative works from any part of it without prior written permission.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Arithmetic described in the documentation as exact is computed exactly, and approximate results are marked as approximate. Neither statement is a warranty that a result is correct for a given engineering purpose. The mode, width, signedness, fraction bits, rounding mode, overflow mode, and expression are chosen by the operator, and a correct computation on incorrect inputs produces an incorrect answer.

Not for safety-critical use

Verify any result independently before using it in production hardware, in safety-related systems, or in any application in which an error would cause injury or loss. Do not use the application as the sole basis for such work.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall the copyright holder be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount paid for the licence. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages, so parts of these terms may not apply.

Privacy

The application collects nothing, requests no permissions, and makes no network requests. See the privacy policy.

Refunds

Purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play's refund policy. Requests are handled by Google, not by Mintwright.

Changes

If these terms change, the revised version will be posted here with a new date.
